This is a great opportunity for an engineer who is looking to advance their career towards a leadership role in electronics design and manufacturing. Candidates will be matched with a mentor who will teach them our technology, tools, manufacturing process, and industry in an on-the-job learning environment.</p> <p>Our Project Leads manage the technical development of device interface projects from concept to delivery.  This is a direct customer facing role. Using skills acquired through training and your experience, you will obtain a deep understanding of the customer’s requirements and guide the effort of turning those requirements into functional test interface hardware while managing resources, schedules, changes, and customer expectations along the way. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills combined with strong spatial reasoning, attention to detail and a sense of urgency are critical to the successful candidate.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Work closely with customers (both internal and external) to gather requirements and acceptance criteria</li> <li>Perform project sizing (scope, cost, schedule)</li> <li>Create, track and manage detailed project plan and keep customers informed of project status</li> <li>Track, assess and communicate impact of changes (change management)</li> <li>Drive PCB schematic and layout design, working with internal PCB design team</li> <li>Drive SI/PI performance optimization, working with internal simulation team</li> <li>Manage design reviews and milestone approvals</li> <li>Understand our supplier’s DFM rules/requirements/capabilities, and guide design accordingly</li> <li>Define PCB materials, stack-up, layout rules</li> <li>Provide continuous technical support for products already in the field</li> <li>Travel to Teradyne and customer sites as required</li> <li>Attend periodic night-time meetings with customers or teams in other regions (EU, Asia) </li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2>Basic Qualifications &amp; Skills</h2> <ul> <li>Deep understanding of High Speed/RF/Mixed Signal PCB Design</li> <li>Ability to understand datasheets / select components / find or approve substitute parts</li> <li>Understanding of SI/PI simulation results and optimization techniques</li> <li>PCB Design Tool Suite (Cadence Allegro HDL / PCB Editor a strong plus)</li> <li>Strong Knowledge of PCB Fabrication process</li> <li>Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills</li> </ul> <p>Other Preferred Skills (not required):</p> <ul> <li>General Knowledge of Semiconductor and ATE industry</li> <li>Project Management experience</li> <li>MS Project (Scheduling tool)</li> <li>Familiarity with PDM and PLM tools</li> </ul> <h2>Education</h2> <p>BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field</p> <p>Minimum of 3-5 years working in Hardware/PCB Development or related Field<br/> Familiar with Remote/Hybrid work environment</p> <p> </p>
