The Red Hat Telco 5G CNF Software Quality Engineering is looking for an Associate Software Quality Engineer to join us in Israel. In this role, you will work on Red Hat’s OpenShift and related technologies. You'll be required to interpret test requirements for Telco 5G customer use cases and develop innovative automated solutions for testing real-world customer workflows in test environments.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for Red Hat OpenShift and Telco CNF Certifications.

  • Expand test plans by creating test cases to cover new features or updating existing test cases to reflect changes in the software

  • Troubleshoot failures and write clear bug reports and track them to closure

  • Work with other members of the Engineering team to debug and troubleshoot problems

  • Keep up to date on the status of relevant tools, e.g., Jira, Confluence, Polarion, or Bugzilla

  • Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies

What you will bring

  • Passion, curiosity and desire for testing and examining how things work internally

  • Desire to participate in open source communities and make a difference

  • Self-motivation and the ability to quickly learn new technologies

  • Experience in programming language (Python,Ansible, Golang, Bash, Groovy etc) 

  • Experience with Linux or Unix commands

  • Basic debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration tools, suchs as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker/Crio 

 

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with source code control tools like Git

  • Experience with continuous integration (CI) testing tools like Jenkins
