You get it done
As a team leader for import groupage, you work closely with the senior team leader to ensure the supervision, preparation, and guidance of all logistical activities within our import team. Together, you strive to achieve the agreed service levels within the established budgets, all while keeping the right price-quality ratio in mind. You’re on it.

 

How do you do this? The job title already gives it away. As the leader of the groupage import team, it’s your task to support and coach your team members as needed. You act as the primary point of contact for the department, while also frequently getting your hands dirty. You ensure efficient task distribution and a positive work environment, ultimately resulting in satisfied customers, both internally and externally.

You achieve this by:
•    planning activities, ensuring an efficient work process and proper staffing. Additionally, you are responsible for maintaining and checking financial flows;
•    being prepared for actions around holidays in consultation with the distribution planning;
•    timely identifying occasional and structural disruptions within the process. Naturally, you have already thought about a possible solution;
•    building and maintaining long-term customer and partner relationships, as well as maintaining contacts with all internal stakeholders your department collaborates with.

Your team stands out within DSV because, with a close-knit and motivated team, you steer the many line hauls departing daily from 17 European countries in the right direction. Whether shipments are transported from Germany, Denmark, Italy, or Romania to the Netherlands, your team's efficient and effective organization of these groupage shipments plays an indispensable role within our road transport division.

You bring

•    passion for the profession. You can convey your passion and enthusiasm for transport and logistics to others;
•    some experience in a leadership role, such as a senior transport planner, assistant team leader, or similar;
•    good communication skills, decisiveness, and the ability to see the bigger picture;
•    proficiency in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
