About the role

Description

The Training Documentation Specialist is responsible for training documentation management process. This includes planning, creation, review, approval, publishing, distribution, ongoing maintenance and retirement of training documents including Standard Operating Procedures, Training Guides, Knowledge/Performance Assessments, Training Verifications/Sign-offs and development of audits. The work will be done across multiple disciplines partnering closely with subject matter experts.


Essential Functions (Including, but not limited to):


Create Documents

  • Create documents that support the organization’s processes, procedures, and workflows. Work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure that documents are accurate and meet the organization’s standards.
  • Review and edit documents to ensure they are free of errors, consistent, and high quality.
  • Ensure consistency of documentation practice across the organization.


Review and Update Documents

  • Review and update existing documents to make sure they remain accurate and relevant. Check for errors, inconsistencies, and outdated content, and make necessary corrections or updates.  
  • Remove documents that are obsolete.


Organizing and Managing Documents

  • Keep documents organized and accessible. Create and maintain document libraries, ensuring that all documents are stored in the correct location and under appropriate access and security protocols.  
  • Outline a long-term storage strategy. Organize an archiving system. Develop a standard for labeling, sorting, and categorizing documents for ease of use. Maintain version control of all technical documents.


Ensure Regulatory Compliance

  • Develop content that adheres to compliance, regulatory and organization standards.


Quality Assurance / Continuous Improvement / Audit

  • Evaluate processes aiming to increase efficiency and productivity in the organization.
  • Train team members on how to use documentation resources.
  • Create internal audits.


Requirements

Physical Demands:

 

  • Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need including open, mid, closing shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, etc. 
  • Must be able to provide multiple daily walking inspections of large areas of the park
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work around water 
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions varied from very hot to very cold based on season. The noise level greatly varies based on attendance, programming, and location in park

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must be a great communicator
  • Must demonstrate strong collaboration and partnership skills with a proven ability to work well with others 
  • Must exhibit great attention to detail, including clean and precise communication related to technical documents
  • Must be competent in basic word, excel and power point functions
  • Must have strong administrative skills in systems management
  • Must be able to multi-task, handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Must demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on agreed upon deadlines.  
  • Must have the ability to manage in a flexible and dynamic environment
  • Must have great ability to prioritize need and adjust accordingly
  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED 
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening 
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with little oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in a service industry
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of training processes


Computer Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and be able to adapt well to various other computer programs
