Description of Work
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
This is an anticipated vacancy. This position is located at Greene Correctional Institution, a minimum custody facility housing 656 offenders. This position provides supervision for subordinate staff, conducts shift line-up, makeshift assignments and inspects all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. This position will also complete, review and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms. This position will account for persons and funds and ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready, identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training to subordinate staff as well as conduct investigations, develop prison operational, emergency plans and post orders
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences:
$43,267.00 - $75,718.00
Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Documented supervisory skills in a prison facility.
- Knowledge of facility operations.
- Knowledge of Prisons’ policy and procedures.
- Documented report writing skills.

Necessary Special Qualifications: MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
