Job Summary:
The Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies is seeking a Grants Specialist (Research Services Professional) to work at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The Grants Specialist will be responsible for the pre- and post-award management of a portfolio of grants. This position will provide essential grants management support to the school, the principal investigators, their designees, and other business units as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer pre-award and post-award grants, ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations, policies, and deadlines while advising faculty and department personnel.
- Develop multi-year budgets and prepare grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and handle submission of final electronic proposals.
- Manage financial oversight of grants, including budget monitoring, preventing overruns, and reallocating expenses as needed.
- Establish and manage subcontracts, track expenditures, and communicate with stakeholders regarding fund balances and over-expenditures.
- Support grant-related agreements (e.g., MTAs, CDAs, NDAs) and assist with post-award closeouts and sponsor inquiries.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
