About the Role: 

The Content Acquisitions & Partnerships team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing content opportunities for the company. This role will work closely with the Deal Management team, providing exposure across the various functions of the greater team including content acquisitions, content partnerships, and content valuation. The ideal candidate is a content-obsessed, analytical, and detail-oriented individual that can aid the team across a number of functional areas. During this internship, you will learn about the content deal pipeline, acquisitions & negotiations strategy, and how to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate content.

 This position will be hybrid based out of our Los Angeles office.

What You'll Do:

  • Deal Management
    • Support the Deal Management team in managing the Content Deal Pipeline inclusive of all deals from the initial reach out stage through the deal close and asset delivery 
    • Assist with efficiently managing the deal approval process for Senior Management’s review 
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Curation, Strategy, Scheduling, B2B Sales, Social, Growth, and Marketing to ensure alignment on content initiatives & priorities
  • Content Valuation
    • Perform content performance & max pricing analysis to support high-value deal negotiations across all content types (ie., Films, Series, TV, Sports)
    • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting, including deal performance, post-mortems, and partner deep dives
    • Synthesize high-level deal information, key objectives, and insights for Senior Management
  • Content Acquisitions
    • Support the Content Acquisition team with all stages of sourcing, due diligence, negotiation and deal follow-through
    • Monitor the content marketplace and assess new opportunities in film and television
    • Identify opportunities to grow relationships with Tubi's existing content partners and establish relationships with new partners

Qualifications: 

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Periscope, and Airtable, a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to pivot to new priorities and adapt to new contexts
  • Genuine curiosity and a strong desire to contribute to the success of the team through data-driven analysis
  • Encyclopedic knowledge and love of movies and TV

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a graduate degree (MBA, Master’s Degree, or Ph.D), with a focus in Entertainment or Media, or any business-related disciplines
  • Strong academic record (minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA)
  • Committed and available to work full-time for the entire length of the program (10 weeks)

About the Program:

  • Application Deadline: April 19, 2024
  • Program Timeline: 10-week placement, the option to begin on 6/3 or 6/17
  • Weekly Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (5 days)
  • Worksite: Hybrid in our Los Angeles office

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with the final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is listed per hour below.
