About the Role
As a Compliance Data Analyst, you will use data and analytical techniques to gain insights, address issues, overcome challenges and drive efficiencies with a particular focus on the main stakeholders for compliance. This includes, but is not limited to, AML, Canada AML, Trading Compliance, Tech Governance, Responsible Gaming, Suspicious Activity, and Internal Audit. This is a fast-paced team that thrives in distilling actionable information from large data sets. The role will be expected to work collaboratively across multiple business units and communicate evidenced based findings to influence the decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
Analyze compliance data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Lean into automations and solutions using technology such as Python and Streamlit (read, write proficiency in Python required)
Develop dashboards to reduce manual, repeatable work and visualize key metrics.
Support the development and implementation of data-driven initiatives to improve data visibility
Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across analyses and KPIs through strong quality control processes and documentation
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Communicate complex data findings in a clear, concise, and compelling way.
Education:
You will expect to be BSc or MSc Degree educated in a Statistics, Computer Science, Math or Science based subject.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably with a focus on compliance data
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g.Power BI).
Ability to read and write notebooks using python
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings to a non-technical audience.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Ability to pivot with short deadlines through agile
