The Regional Pediatric Therapy Director leads and supports multidisciplinary clinical teams, drives consistency and clinical excellence across locations, and partners closely with the Regional ABA Director and Regional Clinic Operations Manager to align clinical quality, staffing models, productivity, and growth initiatives. This role plays a critical part in advancing integrated care delivery, optimizing clinical operations, and fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture across the region.

Regional Essential Functions across Ped Tx Disciplines


Provide regional clinical leadership and oversight for pediatric therapy services across assigned clinics, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care.
Supervise the implementation of pediatric therapy programs and support coordination of day-to-day clinical operations within the region.
Manage, mentor, and develop the therapy team
Establish staffing models, schedules, and caseload expectations to ensure adequate coverage, productivity, and sustainable workloads across pediatric therapy teams.
Monitor productivity, CPT code utilization, and budgeted performance targets; identify trends and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to problem-solve and optimize outcomes.
Lead staff performance management, including regular 1:1 check-ins, coaching, competency development, corrective action, and performance improvement plans as needed with discipline direct reports and pediatric clinical leaders in the region.
Conduct interviews, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and supervision onboarding and offboarding the region in collaboration with clinic managers.
Ensure all patient assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and documentation meet medical necessity criteria, payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational clinical guidelines across disciplines.
Promote clinical excellence through outcome measurement, data-driven decision making, utilization review, and participation in internal audits and quality assurance initiatives.
Stay current on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and discipline-specific standards at the state and federal level.
Evaluate regional needs and recommend opportunities for program development, service expansion, and business growth.
Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert to families, staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operational, billing, compliance, and support teams to ensure service delivery, quality outcomes, and organizational objectives are met.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture focused on patient outcomes, family engagement, staff well-being, and professional growth.


Discipline Clinical and Supervisory Responsibilities


Perform initial evaluations and ongoing clinical assessments as needed in own discipline
Conduct observations, develop and oversee individualized short- and long-term treatment plans, and ensure appropriate clinical interventions.
Maintain a reduced but active caseload, averaging 20% of discipline-specific productivity expectations.
Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and training to therapists within the region, supporting clinical skill development and career growth.
Complete 1:1s and annual performance reviews for direct reports 

QualificationsQualifications


Master’s or Doctoral degree in any of the following pediatric therapy disciplines: counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech language pathology
Current  credential qualifying therapy in good standing in any of the following pediatric therapy disciplines: counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech language pathology
Eligible for applicable state licensure/certification, where required
Minimum 5+ years of experience providing therapy services, preferably in pediatric or autism therapy settings
Prior leadership or multi-site supervisory experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated expertise in clinical supervision, treatment planning, and behavior analytic service delivery
Strong knowledge of medical necessity criteria, payer requirements, and documentation standards
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to travel regularly across assigned region
