About Process Engineering

The Process Engineering team is the process design and support arm of MS&T (Materials Science & Technology) and is tasked with providing engineering expertise for our commercial and development products. Some of the tasks Process Engineering is responsible for includes scale-up and lifecycle management changes for commercial products/processes as well as support of any changes in process equipment or raw materials/excipients or components as well as providing input into the process and product design of new products in the Tolmar pipeline. The Process Engineering team has responsibilities that create a challenging, yet extremely rewarding fast-paced work environment.

 

Proposed Work Description

The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department and therefore the work described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:

  • Work with Process Engineers to design experiments, collect and analyze data to support changes to processes or product materials/excipients.
  • Assist with general engineering tasks such as reviewing notebooks and data.
  • Learn and apply cGMP documentation practices within a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned based on department needs.
  • Potential travel between Fort Collins and Windsor, reimbursable.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory or manufacturing principles and procedures.
  • Exposure to or coursework covering process design.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and understand complex systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as co-operatively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical development and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) with interest in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
