Position Overview:
The Director, Business Development will be responsible for expanding the Digital Distribution business, by developing strategic relationships, leading a team of Business Development professionals, managing existing distributor accounts, leading proposal efforts, and meeting revenue targets. This role requires a proactive approach to managing and collaborating with distributors and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Coach/Lead- Develop and lead a high performing engaged team, coach for success by providing clear expectations and ongoing feedback and effectively position internal and external resources for maximum results.
- Sales management - Demonstrate effective and efficient sales management skills and business acumen to ensure team achieves sales goals and report of achievements.
- Relationships: Build and develop corporate relationships with distribution partners.
- RQI Portfolio: Position the Digital Resuscitation Portfolio direct to the Distribution segment, while supporting their business growth utilizing company resources, tools and processes to create additional business value and opportunities.
- Revenue/ Reach: Drive adoption of the Digital Resuscitation programs among the assigned partners to achieve revenue and reach annual targets and renewal and expansions.
- Business Opportunity: Build market awareness of our Digital Resuscitation Portfolio Solutions with emphasis on the importance of high-quality CPR.
- Best Practices: Utilize company resources and knowledge to achieve sales goals, market/mind share, and profitability objectives to grow the DDN’s market share.
- Customer Health: Ensure the health of customers by acting as central point of contact for distribution of customers to all disciplines (Finance, Product Development, Service and Support) and ensuring conclusion.
Position Holder is Accountable For:
- Program Competence – Ensure mastery of the features, functionality, and value proposition related to the RQI Portfolio
- Sales Goals - Achieving revenue goals
- Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of team results, performance metrics for field team and action plans to reach targets
- Business Planning – Provide input to business planning and clearly communicate the plans to the team
- Management, coaching, and developing channel partners to ensure successful attainment of business and revenue objectives
- Team Development – Developing team members and ensuring they embrace and actively utilize the Strategic Driving Principles of RQI Partners, Breakthrough Thinking and customer success to achieve our life saving mission
- Drive and grow distribution funnel and forecast to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual target
- Strong cross functional communication across the organization (marketing, implementation, support, etc.)
- Provide quarterly business updates channel distribution partners to DDN Leadership
- Sales focus will be an estimated 50% from outside/50% from inside - On average this will require approximately 2 weeks in the field and 2 weeks virtually per month
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or healthcare
- 15 plus years demonstrated experience involving a combination of the following positions: field-based sales, account management, and/or relationship management with at least 5 years of B2B sales and consistent achievement (exceeding) of business goals.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive and successful experience leading a team of sales professionals in a large, multi-state geographical region
- Proven leadership skills, both in direct management and successfully influencing cross functionality across organizations.
