Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst responsible for performing system analyses, data mapping, data analysis on software programs, applications, and web services.

Location: Remote/PST Time Zone Perferred

Project Length: 4 months

Responsibilities

• Perform system analyses, data mapping, data analysis on software programs, applications, and web services.
• Determine system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users.
• Efficiently integrate new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
• Analyze and improve the performance of web-based customer portals and support services.
• Ensure end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
• Monitor product licenses and ensure compliance with IT industry regulations.
• Ensure that computer hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.
• Promote system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.
• Implement new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (7+ years) as a Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role within the financial industry, with a strong focus on BSA/AML compliance and regulatory matters.
• MUST have prior banking/financial industry experience.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data, as well as perform detailed analysis for trends, discrepancies, and potential compliance issues.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) to create meaningful reports and dashboards as needed.
• Must have familiarity with compliance software (Verafin, Actimize) is desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) for data analysis and management is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and requirements in the financial sector.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, coupled with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ease in leading presentations to stakeholders in a remote environment through Teams or Zoom
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills toward facilitating the use of new software systems.
• Knowledge of relevant licensing and industry BSA/AML compliance regulations.
