Head of Software Security

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software security protocols and measures to protect our systems and customer data
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with the development team to review code and provide guidance on security best practices
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies to continuously enhance our security framework
• Investigate and respond to any security incidents or breaches, taking appropriate actions to mitigate and prevent future occurrences
• Design and implement secure authentication and access controls for our software products
• Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Software Security Engineer or in a similar role
• Deep understanding of software security principles and best practices
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, SSL/TLS, OAuth)
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as vulnerability scanners and intrusion detection systems
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and secure coding practices
• Ability to conduct security assessments and implement appropriate remediation actions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in Risk, Underwriting and/or Payments Industry is preferred
