The Raytheon Quality & Mission Assurance (MA) organization assures that compliant products are delivered to the customer and will ensure reliably throughout the product life cycle. Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices that are aligned across Raytheon Air & Space Defense Systems.


What You Will Do

  • Ensure customer expectations and end-user goals are satisfied in accordance with the contract and Raytheon policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of mission assurance and quality professionals to ensure effective integration and implementation of Raytheon policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a key member of the program leadership team, ensuring effective program performance by ensuring conforming products and services through effective collaboration, compliance to processes and procedures.
  • Serve as control account manager and provide effective Earned Value Management System (EVMS) analysis and management.
  • Ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Lead Mission Assurance efforts for program and proposals.
  • Facilitate compliance with the Raytheon Quality Management System while driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead, perform, maintain compliance to the Quality and Mission Assurrance Program Plan and program contract requirements.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) reviews, monthly program management reviews, and other reviews to ensure the proper application of quality assurance requirements.
  • Provides quality input to the program risk and opportunity process (identification, analysis, mitigation and/or realization) and manages quality specific risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for closure of corrective actions associated with programs.
  • Conducts audit planning including gathering the team, publishing, and maintaining the audit schedule.

Travel Requirements

This role requires local travel to several Massachusetts facilities including Andover, Tewksbury and Woburn, MA, and southern New Hampshire to include Nashua and Pelham.

This is a hybrid role, and the effective candidate can reside in the following location.

Andover, MA

Woburn, MA

Nashua, NH

Pelham, NH

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience within quality engineering or in an engineering discipline focused on defense or commercial programs.
  • Working experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102), and/or quality sciences /statistical analysis processes and resources.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program.
  • Experience with AS9145.
  • Experience developing and reporting Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
