Job Summary/Basic Functions

Works with the Director of Conferencing & Events to provide oversight to the planning and implementation of all special events for Conferencing and Event and other identified University functions for EKU. Provides daily direction for the planning and event staff. Provides technical and administrative assistance to the university campus for the campus-wide scheduling software system, used for scheduling facilities, outdoor space, and other event resources for a myriad of conferences and events. Serves as a liaison between University Registrar, Student Affairs, Facilities Services, Information Technology, EKU Police and College Net.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: Directly related work experience is required, including database systems knowledge. One year of direct work experience with 25Live preferred.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - Supervise and provide direction to Conferencing and Events Specialists and in oversight and management of conferences and events administered through Conferencing & Events for EKU. - (Essential)
  • 40% - Develop and provide system training, create and modify reports, attend conferences and trainings related to the centralized scheduling application, and maintain reservations and space assignment data. Support campus scheduling approves and service providers; Facilitate and encourage interdepartmental participation and commitment to the use of a centralized scheduling application - (Essential)
  • 20% - Functions as the Conferencing and Events liaison for the OSHA Training Institute and Workforce Development departments. Oversees all scheduling and event logistics for the aforementioned units. - (Essential)
