About KIND
Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is a global leader in the protection of unaccompanied and separated children who are forcibly displaced from their countries of origin. Launched in 2008, KIND champions a world in which every child’s rights and well-being are protected throughout their journey to safety. Building on its extensive programming and successful model in the United States, KIND is expanding in the Americas and Europe to bring its experience to bear in working with unaccompanied and separated children. Our work focuses on addressing the legal and mental health needs of this population; building strong partnerships and engaging in training and capacity strengthening with governments, NGOs, and the private sector; and advocating for systemic and pragmatic reforms to advance the rights of unaccompanied and separated children.
Position SummaryKIND seeks a strategic and experienced fundraising professional who will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding a comprehensive corporate giving program with a strong emphasis on law firms and corporate pro bono partners. This strategic role drives revenue growth by managing a pipeline and portfolio of national corporate donors, with a focus on partners with capacity to give at the six-figure level and above. In collaboration with senior leaders across KIND, the Director, Corporate Philanthropy will develop multi-year engagement pipelines, craft compelling value propositions for corporate audiences, and steward key relationships to maximize philanthropic and sponsorship support.
This position requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial fundraiser with deep experience working with corporate social responsibility (CSR) teams, generals counsel, managing partners, and C-suite executives. The incumbent must be able to navigate complex organizational structures, articulate impact in a data driven manner, and build cross-functional internal collaborations to deliver best in class stewardship. Reporting to the Senior Director of Institutional Development and working in close partnership with the Vice President of Pro Bono Partnerships, the Director, Corporate Philanthropy plays a critical role in the organization’s diversification strategy and long-term sustainability.
This is a remote position based from any location in the U.S. This position is contingent upon continued funding.
