About the role

As the Electrical Construction Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all active projects, managing the performance of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, and ensuring field operations align with CS Erickson’s quality, safety, and financial standards. You will serve as the key internal leader driving project execution, field team performance, and client satisfaction during the construction phase. This role balances hands-on project oversight with team leadership and operational consistency across all electrical construction work.

What you'll do

Project Execution & Operational Oversight 

• Lead and support Project Managers and Project Coordinators in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. 

• Ensure proper planning, scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation across all construction projects. 

• Collaborate with Field Supervisors and Foremen to resolve technical issues and drive performance on job sites. 

• Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and drive timely problem-solving. 

• Oversee execution of contract scope and change orders, ensuring clear communication and documentation. 

Team Leadership & Development 

• Manage day-to-day performance of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, providing coaching, support, and professional development. 

• Promote consistency in project management practices, documentation, and reporting across the team. 

• Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for field installation standards and project delivery best practices. 

• Assist in onboarding and training new PMs and Coordinators to uphold company standards. 

Collaboration & Communication 

• Partner with the Sr. VP of Region during handoff from preconstruction to operations. 

• Work closely with estimating, engineering, and field leadership to ensure seamless project starts and smooth transitions. 

• Represent the operations team in internal meetings and ensure alignment with company objectives. 

• Foster strong relationships with key vendors and subcontractors to support execution. 

Performance Monitoring & Reporting 

• Monitor and report on project performance metrics including schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. 

• Support financial health of projects through forecasting, cost control, and productivity reviews. 

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance in construction operations. 

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction project management, including experience managing multiple crews and complex commercial or industrial projects. 

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, codes, and safety standards. 

• Proven leadership skills with experience managing project teams and mentoring direct reports. 

• Proficient in project management software and tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Accubid. 

• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred. <
