Clinical Research Nurse LeadJob Description
Trains research staff, leads staff and/or oversees clinical trials from start-up to closeout. May develop or contribute to standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes. Attends and participates in leadership meetings, represents TJU internally and externally, develops content and presents, community representation, committee representation, oversees entire research operation in department, serves as an expert consulting at the institutional level.
- Collects and documents clinical information (data) from study participants.
- Provides patient education regarding research study.
- Obtains informed consent and supports enrollment into clinical trials.
- Interacts with consortium members, organizes meetings and communicates with participating institutions, tracks and records progress, schedules meetings, records and distributes minutes.
Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. BSN Preferred.
AND
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of RN clinical experience, with 2 years of clinical research experience required.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
PA RN License; or State where position lies, SoCRA or ACRP preferred
Additional Information
- May collect and process specimen tissue to be analyzed by technical personnel
- Works in collaboration with research team, and participates in identification, development, implementation and evaluation of specific goals and objectives.
- Supports administration in the adherence to protocol guidelines.
- Collects and assists in organizing data for the research team
