Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Learning Services Program, a program for first year students with learning disabilities, is looking for a part-time Learning Support Specialist for the academic year. 

Essential Functions:

• The Learning Services Program Learning Support Specialist provides academic support and disability accommodations in one-on-one weekly meetings to students with learning disabilities and possibly other disabilities. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• The position is expected to be 15 to 20 hours a week, and starts in late August.

• Training and supervision will be provided. 

Salary Range:

• $25/hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, or related field preferred.

• Experience working with students with learning disabilities and ADHD and the accommodations process.

• Experience providing one-on-one academic support services.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Familiarity with the developmental issues of college students.

• Academic support experience.

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills.
