Job Description

At CoBank, you will be part of an innovative tech environment and meet real farm credit customer needs. We are seeking Full Stack Software Engineers who are passionate about building products with automation on AWS and On-prem. This role will support the Digital team in automating business processes and build foundational frontend and backend applications on AWS. The Software Engineer, Full Stack will also collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

Essential Functions

1. Engineers automated solutions, automated testing, monitoring and observability 2. Collaborates with product managers, cross functional teams, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions 3. Utilizes programming languages like React, HTML/CSS, Node.js, SQL, Python, Open Source databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services, Windows PowerShell 4. Develops solutions for improving quality, delivery, efficiency, and customer and employee experience for business partners using automation technologies. 5. Demonstrates advanced understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines and tools. 6. Leads resolution of production issues and engages IT and vendors as necessary. 7. May prioritize and oversee activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards. 8. Works closely with Program owner and business units regarding enhancements and changes. 9. Collaborates with and across Agile teams. 10. Learns and leads implementation of new technologies by analyzing technical specifications, build and configure supporting infrastructure, and implementing security best practices. 11. Provides workday and after-hours production support, including troubleshooting, problem correction, testing, and promotion to the production environment. 12. Leads root cause analysis of application issues and facilitates resolution by coordinating with the vendor, internal IT and users as appropriate. 13. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of version control systems like Git as well as the ability to manage code repositories, branching strategies, and code review processes effectively. 14. May provide technical assistance and mentoring to engineering team.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline. preferred

Work Experience

5 years of experience in front end and back end development required 2 years of experience in Agile practices required 2 years of experience with React, Typescript and Node, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud required 1. Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem-solving skills that enhance working with problems that are complex and often unique. Ability to maintain flexibility and resilience when working in ambiguous situations2. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver commitments while juggling multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work effectively under deadline pressures, and adjust quickly and effectively to changing priorities3. Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working
