Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Military Advisor- Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance on UAS operations, maintenance, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to international partners. This subject matter expert will be a key contributor to the development and delivery of comprehensive UAS training programs, ensuring our clients maintain a decisive advantage on the battlefield. *Position: Remote and part time.
*Travel: This position requires episodic travel to OCONUS locations, often to remote and challenging environments. Expect deployments lasting several weeks to months at a time. Travel may include locations with limited infrastructure and security concerns.
What you will do
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective UAS training programs tailored to diverse audiences, including foreign military partners
- Serve as a subject matter expert on a variety of UAS platforms, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Conduct hands-on training on UAS operation, pre-flight checks, in-flight procedures, emergency procedures, and basic maintenance
- Develop and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and practical exercise scenarios
- Provide operational support during field exercises and deployments, advising on UAS integration and employment
- Work effectively with interpreters to facilitate training and communication with foreign partners
- Maintain proficiency in UAS TTPs and contribute to their ongoing refinement
- Operate effectively in austere environments with limited resources
- Document training activities and provide feedback for program improvement
- Additional duties as assigned or required
What we are looking for
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
- Experience serving in a US Special Operations Forces (SOF) capacity. (e.g., Army Special Forces, Navy SEALs, Air Force Combat Control, Marine Raiders)
- Extensive experience operating UAS platforms in a tactical environment (specific platform experience preferred, but not limited to: Small/Medium UAS, Group 2/3 platforms)
- Demonstrated experience instructing and mentoring on UAS operations
- Deep understanding of UAS TTPs, including mission planning, execution, and post-flight analysis
- Proficient in basic UAS troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
- Experience working OCONUS in complex
