About the role
As a Device Technical Program Manager at Facebook Reality Labs, you will lead a cross-functional core team through the Product Development Process (from early concept phase to launch) to develop and launch industry-leading AR/VR Products. This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with extensive technical skills and business acumen; skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. - Lead a cross-functional core team spanning hardware, software, core technology, content, operations, marketing, legal, and finance.
- Own the program schedule from pre-concept through launch, managing the delivery of key program milestones.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the program.
- Proactively identify and drive resolution of critical program risks/issues.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Establish best practices along with key performance indicators to ensure success.
- Distill complex topics into clear communications to program stakeholders.
- Ensure resource needs are established and fulfilled.
- Up to 20% travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience as a technical program manager, leading consumer electronics device development across both hardware and software, with a track record of shipping devices on time.
- Experience in process definition/improvements, program management, tools.
- Experience in team leadership, decision making, and presenting to groups.
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
