The Senior Supply Chain Operations Project Specialist is responsible for executing projects within Arthrex’s supply chain organization, focusing on operations, systems, and cross-functional support. This role requires alignment with the strategic vision and evolving roadmap of the supply chain operations organization, adapting annually based on business needs. The specialist will possess a deep understanding of how operational metrics impact financial performance in both our white box/P&L and heavy metal/balance sheet business models, ensuring that targets support the growth of Arthrex. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain strategic initiatives and 3-year roadmap.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Develop and manage project plans while ensuring timely completion of deliverables and projects.
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, as well as lean techniques.
  • Has strong analytical and system skills to model and understand the underlying data, with the capability to take qualitative data into consideration for solutioning
  • Assist in creation of KSAs (Key System Attributes), KPPs (Key Performance Predictors), & KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for Supply Chain.
  • Creation of ad hoc reporting requests of our internal partners.
  • Analyze and qualitatively review data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and workshops for process improvements for Supply Chain.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing for system process changes and reports.
  • Implement and update procedures and work instructions.
  • Communicate insights and project plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Actively work on projects supporting the overall initiatives of the supply chain team.

 

Education and Experience:

    • Education Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
    • 8 plus years of operations / inventory experience required
    • Experience within the Medical Device industry preferred

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

    • Leading and influencing cross-functional teams to make timely and business-critical decisions
    • Experience within a highly matrixed, fast-paced, and highly regulated business environment
    • Excellent communication, including written, verbal, and presentation to senior level audience

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, diagramming tools, as well as Enterprise applications (where applicable): ERP, PLM, DMS, HRIS, CRM, MES, and BI.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
