Data Governance Sr. Analyst is a strategic professional, who will help us enabling data catalog program, establish and execute policies and standards across data governance and strategy, 3rd party partnerships, and overall data management.
Primary Responsibilities – What You’ll Do
- Support Director, Data Strategy & Info Management in ensuring data is used as a strategic asset across the enterprise.
- Develop data governance standards, policies, procedures and working protocols including
- Development data governance objectives and key results for each functional area in alignment with the organizational strategy and priorities
- Define and implement measurement routines for the key results
- Review the results with the leaders and respective data governance councils holding them accountable to their data management responsibilities and identify action items
- Enhance NUSA data governance practices and tools to enable future scale and improve enterprise wide engagement
- Proactively mitigate and manage critical escalations and at-risk engagements or related metric; communicate effectively and appropriately with internal leaders and executives
- Resolve complex and variable governance issues with substantial potential impact.
- Serve as a point of escalation for governance, data quality, and protection issues
Your Team – Who You’ll Work With
- Collaborate with Data Strategy & Info Management team, Global and NUSA IT, and Business teams to drive NUSA’s vision of data driven decision making.
Skills & Competencies:
- Familiar with data governance concepts, roles and responsibilities
- Experience with key areas of data governance including metadata and data quality management
- Ability to communicate data strategy and governance policies to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to guide, influence and convince others on data strategy and governance
- Ability to work with diverse data sets, both static and streaming data
- Ability to use agile approach and methodology to drive data governance processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Data Management Capability Maturity framework, ideally using DCAM framework from the Executive Data Council across all business areas
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or a similar field
- 6+ years of experience in data governance, data analytics, risk management or an equivalent role
- 3+ years of experience in data governance and metadata management tools like Alation, Collibra
- Expert in SQL, and data mining tools
- Strategic planning, protocol and governance experience preferred
- CPG experience preferred
