Lead Storekeeper / Delivery Person

Responsible for the accuracy of receiving goods arriving via barge on a weekly basis as well as receiving loose items daily via air cargo.  Assists in ensuring that delivery loads are created and loaded onto delivery trucks accurately.  Keeps the warehouses organized as directed by manager.  Responsible for sorting and organizing all incoming/outgoing items to and from the warehouse.  Maximizes deliveries for efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation:

$24.17/hour (non-exempt)

Essential Duties

• Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and driving performance of delivery vehicle.

• Receives good arriving via barge, air, USPS, UPS, FedEx.

• Receives and tags all incoming items correctly.

• Sort goods for distribution via delivery trucks or direct pick up.

• Verifies items loaded for delivery are accurate and correct

• Ensures all warehouse stock items are properly labeled, stocked, pulled correctly.

• Stock items in proper order, rotating stock when necessary.

• Keep Warehouse in an orderly and sanitary manner.

• Sweep, dust, and mop floors as needed.

• Process and fill requisitions for goods.

• Perform inventories as needed.

• Assist receiving clerk and department manager as needed.

• Perform duties with due regard to safety of self and fellow employees, and with proper care and protection of Company property.

• At least 1 to 2 years of previous warehouse experience, preferred.

• Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.

• Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.

• Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.

• Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.

• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.

• Must have, or be able to obtain, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) to access Lāna’i’s secured maritime facilities.

• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record.

• Forklift certified.  If not certified, the ability to be certified ASAP.
