Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Monitor customer portals, internal quality performance, warranty performance, and customer quality trends for assigned Ohio facilities.
Administer and support compliance with ISO and IATF 16949 quality management system requirements.
Review quality systems, procedures, work instructions, records, and related documentation for effectiveness and compliance.
Work with other CSP plants to commonize, strengthen, and improve quality systems, processes, and reporting practices.
Conduct internal quality system audits at corporate and manufacturing locations, including IATF-focused assessments and follow-up verification.
Represent the company with customers and industry personnel, including customer visits, customer quality meetings, and industry-related events as needed.
Lead and support PPAP planning activities, including submission strategy, timing, milestones, customer requirements, part status, and product realization gate reviews.
Develop, compile, review, and validate PPAP packages, including dimensional results, material and performance records, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies, measurement system analysis, appearance approvals, and Part Submission Warrants.
Validate PPAP documentation against customer-specific requirements, drawing specifications, engineering changes, process capability expectations, and internal quality standards.
Coordinate PPAP readiness reviews with plant quality, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams before customer submission.
Track PPAP status, open issues, customer feedback, resubmission requirements, and approval timing across assigned Ohio facilities.
Work with suppliers to obtain, review, and validate supplier PPAP submissions and supporting documentation.
Assist and, when necessary, lead manufacturing facilities and suppliers through structured problem-solving activities and corrective action processes.
Train plant personnel in problem solving, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and quality system best practices.
Work with suppliers on problem solving, supplier development, supplier audits, and supplier surveys.
Review quality action plans internally and with suppliers to ensure timely completion, effectiveness, and sustained improvement.
Review, establish, and support quality-related training programs as required by customer, regulatory, and business needs.
Evaluate quality software, reporting tools, and process improvement opportunities to strengthen data visibility and quality performance.
Ensure customer-specific requirements are understood, communicated, implemented, and met across assigned Ohio plants.
