Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse, RN, (part-time, 3 - 8 hour day shift) in our Operating Room. Monday - Friday, NO Weekends/Holidays.
Responsibilities
- The OR Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
- Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- BSN degree required or in progress
- RN (Registered Nurse) License in state of practice
- 2+ years OR experience
Preferred:
- CNOR highly preferred
- Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus
