This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

This position provides direction and expertise to dealers, suppliers, field staff, and architecture/design partners in the area of retail design and implementation. This position is responsible for multiple dealership renovation or relocation projects with a workload that may average 25-50 projects at any given time with a per-project average dealer investment ranging from $250,000 to over $20M. The position provides leadership and assistance to co-workers, inter-departmental employees, and other key stakeholders on these and other projects as assigned. This is a dealer-facing position and is the US dealer’s single source at H-D for leadership on facility construction projects.  This position works closely with the US Network Development team, dealers, suppliers, authorized design firms, dealership-appointed contacts, and many other internal and external stakeholders. The position proactively leads communication, program initiatives and processes, construction process and timelines, phase evaluations and completion of projects through final review. This position will also assist with fixture/display sourcing and program roll-outs and in-store digital programs.

Job Responsibilities

•    This position project manages the dealer’s construction project by ensuring that designs adhere to the H-D Fuel Facility Manual and that contractual milestones are met. This is done by:

  • Leading project kick-off meetings with dealer and project team
  • Render and plan reviews, along with presentations to the facility review committee
  • Brand compliance reviews
  • Frequent communication throughout course of project with dealers, dealer staff, suppliers, design firms and general contractors. 

•    Position is ultimately responsible that the final dealership facility project has been executed per facility program standards and policies. 
•    This position keeps all internal stakeholders updated on project status. Specifically, Marketing brand and channel teams, Network Development and Leadership Teams.
•    Responsible for the on-going maintenance and updates of the H-D FUEL Facility Manual.
•    Responsible for maintaining the established project metrics to deem project successful. 
•    This position will assist with supplier and agency recruiting, on-boarding and evaluating.
•    This position will own the content delivery for current in-store digital programs to ensure fresh content is pushed on a regular cadence. In addition, this role will lead the strategy behind digital solutions in the retail environment.
 

Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Interior Design, Architecture, Business Administration, or relevant preferred

Experience Requirements

    Required
•    A minimum of 8-10 years of related experience in retail design, architecture, store planning or project management.
•    Retail experience required.
•    Ability to read/interpret and translate design and construction documents.
•    Project management skills required.
•    Position demands patience, strong diplomacy skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
•    Position demands strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle ambiguous situations and information.  Must be multi-task oriented. 
•    Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity is essential. 
•    Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on written and verbal communication skills are required. 
•    Expected to build and maintain successful consultative relationships with all key
