Position Overview
The IT Applications Manager – HR will provide leadership and subject matter expertise for the HR and Production (Kronos) technology areas. Acting as a business consultant, this position ensures the development, support, and optimization of enterprise applications to meet organizational needs. The role is responsible for all ERP-related activities within HR and Production, including supervision of IT application staff, technical acquisition recommendations, and the development of IT standards and procedures.
This position contributes to strategic, tactical, and operational IT decision-making to fulfill the department’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Provide proactive technology recommendations to HR and Production business managers.
Manage internal IT staff, external suppliers, and service providers supporting a defined portfolio of applications.
Maintain domain knowledge of business strategies to ensure maximum value realization from IT investments.
Support IT leadership in program operations including budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, procurement, and financial reconciliation.
Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and the company’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards.
Monitor projects holistically, integrating teams, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Configure, support, and optimize third-party applications as required.
Provide expert-level support in Oracle HCM.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.
5+ years managing the support and operations of business applications.
3+ years managing people.
Proven experience with Oracle HCM.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, project management, and IT operations.
Experience in vendor management and IT service delivery.
