Role overview

The Lead Advisor, Change and Culture Communications serves as a senior enterprise communications advisor, leading change communications for Chevron’s most complex, highimpact transformation efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, enterprise organizational redesigns, AIenabled transformation, and largescale culture change.

This role shapes strategy and advises senior leaders, using compelling, inspiring communications to drive alignment, adoption, and behavior change across the enterprise. This role focuses on enterprise outcomes rather than storytelling or narrative ownership.

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders, HR leadership, and enterprise initiative sponsors.

  • Shape enterprise messaging that drives clarity, momentum, and confidence during periods of disruption and change.

  • Lead communications strategies that support enterprisewide culture change, reinforcing behaviors aligned to The Chevron Way, Chevron’s strategy, and operating model.

  • Anticipate resistance, risk, and misalignment during major transitions and proactively address them through communications.

  • Guide leader enablement for senior most Chevron leaders during largescale change.

  • Ensure disciplined integration across Internal Communications teams and Corporate Affairs partners.

  • Apply rigorous planning, governance, and measurement to enterprise communications efforts.

  • Mentor and provide informal leadership to more junior advisors.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.

  • 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise communications, change communications, or strategic advisory roles.

  • Demonstrated experience leading communications for enterprisewide transformation, including mergers and acquisitions.

  • Proven ability to advise senior leaders, including C-suite executives, in ambiguous, highstakes environments.

  • Strong executive presence, strategic judgment, and ability to influence without authority.

  • Deep experience navigating enterprise governance and complex stakeholder environments.
