MUL - Assistant Plant Manager

Bachoco USA is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our Poultry Processing Operations located in Muldrow, OK. This Assistant Plant Manager will be responsible for directing all plant management efforts, working with upper management, plant superintendents, supervisors, and outside vendors and contractors including USDA. 

 

This Assistant Plant Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager position in Fort Smith, AR. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Directs all plant operations in support of the company goals, objectives, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Works well with management, operations, and cross-functionally.
• Full understanding of plant operations and ability to manage yields, production, and quality.
• Must be able to work with all areas of the company (sales, accounting, quality control, etc.) to reach goals.
• Ability to elaborate and manage the plant budget in accordance with company guidelines and operational goals.
• Must be able to control/meet yields, pplh, ppmh on the production lines.
• Adherence to product quality standards and specifications.
• Responsible to keep the plant in regulations compliance.
• Manages inventory in support of operational standards and objectives.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

 

Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
• Previous plant operations management experience.
• Poultry management experience required.  Experience in Further Processing desired.
• Analytical business knowledge. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate superintendents, supervisors, and hourly employees at the facility. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises two non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
