OCI Technical Operation Support Platform Engineering Organization is currently in need of a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our fast-growing team. Technical Program Managers (TPM) rely on their technical expertise, mastery of data and business to understand and anticipate business requirements, initiate programs, track progress, and resolve blockers. 

Additionally, TPMs build project plan, track technical issues, effectively communicate project status, recommend changes, decide tradeoffs for competing priorities, and demonstrate ‘deliver now and iterate’. They define strategies, roadmaps, regularly participate in executive meetings to present their progress, and share project information with stakeholders. A successful candidate will be well versed in what it takes to drive business growth through technology and data for a cloud organization.

 

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

·        Drive business critical features and technical capabilities through the development process. 

·        Work with customers to gather, create and prioritize product requirements and specifications.

·        Work with engineering teams to build project plan. 

·        Keep project on track within planned milestones, deadlines, and budget.

·        Review and test deliverables to ensure it is as per requirements and works well.

·        Provide technical leadership, but not line management of cross functional teams.

·        Author PRDs (Product Requirements Document), reports, build and maintain dashboards.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in distributed systems and web services.
  • 10+ years leading complex technical/engineering programs.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in program and project management.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with different levels in the org.

 

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

US: Hiring Range: from $104,000 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
