About the role
Position Overview
Members of the Operations team are responsible for providing the on site technical support required to ensure timely execution of experiments within the lab. As an Operations Team Lead, you will work closely with the Shift Manager on duty to motivate, assist, and provide guidance to 15-25 team members. It's an intellectually challenging role, requiring dynamic problem-solving, excellent people management skills, and troubleshooting prowess. A successful individual in this role will become familiar with all operations within the lab, getting to know the processes, hardware and software used to carry out experiments in the cloud lab. As an Operations Team Lead, you will be a key voice in driving for continuous improvement. Whether resolving logistical issues in the warehouse or identifying ways to improve productivity of team members, this role requires a firm commitment to data driven solutions.

You might be a great fit for the role if ...
- You have 2+ years of experience leading small teams to improved productivity & quality (strongly preferred)
- You have 3+ years experience working in a GMP or Life Sciences environment
- You have experience applying systematic troubleshooting methodologies to complex technical problems
- You are capable and willing to learn computer programming (no prior experience necessary, but it is a welcome bonus!)
- You are familiar with common industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- You are excited about working in a dynamic fast-paced startup environment
