TX. The primary focus of this role is to repair and install electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and perform preventative maintenance.

What You Will Do:

• Cut, bend and install tubing needed for the proper installation of the instrumentation device
• Set controls to regulate factors, such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure or vacuum, or temperature according to specifications
• Actively work on troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of pneumatic, electronic, analog, and digital process control instrumentation
• Troubleshoot/Repair Predictive program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS system as required by site specific documentation
• Perform assignments in the layout, installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as process controls, lighting systems, motor controls systems, hi and low voltage electrical
• As needed, disassemble instrument or device in order to determine cause of defective operation or failure
• Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system
• Complete all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Plant location: Garland, TX
• Work week and shift: 3rd Shift Monday-Friday 9:30 pm to 5:30 am
• Compensation package offered: This is an hourly role DOE

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment 
• 2 years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment 
• 2 years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on maintenance/instrumentation
• Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places 
• Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves and rigging
• Experience in a Lean Environment
