A position with the responsibility for facilitating the correction of Airgas DC shipping errors and the return of hardgoods to Airgas DC in addition to filing of parcel and LTL claims.

The Shipping and Handling Customer Service Representative at Airgas Safety, Inc. is responsible for providing exceptional customer support related to order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery inquiries. This role ensures customer satisfaction by efficiently resolving issues and maintaining clear communication throughout the order process. 

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding order status, shipping details, tracking information, and delivery issues.

•  Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, lost shipments, and other delivery-related problems in a timely and professional manner.

• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Communicate proactively with customers about potential delays, backorders, or changes to their orders.

• Collaborate with internal departments, including warehousing, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and problem resolution.

•  Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and resolutions in the CRM system.

•  Provide customers with product information and assist with basic order placement when necessary.

•  Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and contribute to process enhancements within shipping and handling operations.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

•  High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

•  Proficiency in using CRM software and order management systems.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Working knowledge of shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) and their tracking systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree.

• Experience within a shipping, logistics, or e-commerce environment.
