Group Sales Manager
Position Summary
As Team Members of the Sales and Events team, Group Sales Managers are CRCR Ambassadors and take personal ownership to ensure their actions are in the best interest of the business. Group Sales Managers are responsible for booking, selling, planning, and coordinating all events while assuring exceptional Guest service. This role is pivotal in managing the sales efforts of CRCR products and service offerings.
Position Functions
Essential Functions:
•Provide exceptional Guest service while maintaining a positive attitude
.•Support and motivate Team Members while ensuring team responsibilities are performed according to established departmental standards.
•Initiate and develop quality leads to ensure growth.
•Establish sales goals for individual sales representatives based on their past performance and market conditions.
•Be responsible for establishing and achieving sales goals.
•Analyze current/potential market and sales trends.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
•Facilitate communication before, during, and post events with pertinent Team Members.
•Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts.
•Create and develop special events and sales events to showcase CRCR to potential clients.
•Work with Marketing and Brand and Guest Experience teams to maximize advertising investments and ensure marketing collateral represents brand identity and is appropriate for target audiences.
•Attend trade shows and major market events to promote new business and increase sales.
•Serve as a liaison for community events and assist in event planning with the community as necessary.
•Develop and implement an event marketing plan that aligns with the client’s objectives, including identifying target audiences and creating promotional materials.
•Build and maintain Guest relationships, which lead to repeat business.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for large events and parties
.•Maintain Banquet Event Order (BEO) paperwork for each booking.
•Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu requests.
•Negotiate contracts and assist with accounts receivable.
•Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new Guests.
•Identify operational challenges associated with a group and determine how to best work with Team Members and Guests to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.
•Manage financial planning and budgets.
•Other duties as assigned.
Core Management Competencies
•Lead and manage Team Members and processes while overseeing and directing daily department operations.
•Serve as the subject matter expert on departmental processes and procedures while responsible for all department compliance.
•Lead coaching, corrective counseling, and performance evaluations for Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Team Members.
•Lead, maintain, and foster timely communication, teamwork, and collaboration within their scope of responsibility.
•Recruit, train, and motivate Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Team Members effectively regulating department headcounts and turnover rates.
•Aid in drafting, creating, and updating policies and procedures under the guidance of Leadership.
•Assist in budget creation, meeting revenue targets, managing expenses effectively, and ensuring adherence to annual budgetary limitations.
•Oversee and lead employment terminations.
