Buyer Sr - Direct Commodity

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to production, engineering, and quality assurance to understand sourcing needs, forecast demand, and plan purchasing activities accordingly.
• Generate and complete purchase orders for standard goods and services directly incorporated into the production process.
• Develop purchasing schedules to prevent excessive or insufficient inventory levels.
• Maintains productive relationships with vendors, monitoring supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and service.
• Coordinate with suppliers to arrange timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
• Registers and manages new vendors, assisting with setup and use of systems.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, contracts, and supplier information.
• Prepare and publish purchase history reports or any other reporting as required.
• Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.
