This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space. 

 

We're pioneering new frontiers, committed to the belief that lowering the cost to space can redefine our future for the better. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for our New Glenn Engineering Data Systems and Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in making this vision a reality.

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a transformative Senior Technical Product Manager who can accelerate our pace of innovation. As part of a highly skilled and motivated team, you will work at the intersection of enterprise software development and aerospace engineering. Your primary focus will be guiding the strategy and development of internally developed technical data platforms to harness, manage, utilize and analyze critical engineering data for the New Glenn rocket vehicle. Your work will optimize the lifecycle of our spacecraft, from design to build,  from launch to landing, from evaluation to repair, and readying for the next mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, IT, Computer Science, or related field
• A least 10 years combined product and project management experience
• At least 3 years of industry experience in a technical field such as manufacturing, hardware engineering, robotics, scientific R&D, etc.
• Deep understanding of modern web services architectures and approaches
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in technical work environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team to deliver results with partially defined requirements and changing criteria
• Proven ability to quickly adapt to dynamic priorities and deadlines
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Experience working in a startup
• At least 3 years of experience contributing directly as a Software Development Engineer
• Experience with user research, UX/UI design
• Prior experience contributing to a user-facing data platform
• Operations experience in launch system, commercial aviation, military aviation, or similar industry requiring detailed configuration control to ensure human safety
• Demonstrated data analytics skillset

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is$159,654—$223,515.60 USD
