Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of tableware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen surfaces. Performs routine tasks with little deviation from accepted practices. Incumbent is required to work every other weekend.
Education: High School Diploma or GED in General Studies
Certifications and Licensures: None required
Experience: 1+ years in General Kitchen (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with and serve various age groups.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Understanding of and ability to comply with sanitation standards.
Job Specific Duties:
- Cleaning: Washes dishes, trays, silverware, pots, and pans by hand or machine for morning and lunch meals.
- Food Delivery: Delivers food truck to Infirmary.
- Sanitation: Ensures the cleanliness of the kitchen work area by cleaning machines, mopping floors, and taking out garbage.
- Planning: Plans daily work schedule of routine cleaning duties.
- Professionalism: Upholds a professional working relationship, practices teamwork, and adheres to Standards of Behavior.
- Other Duties: Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Workplace Requirements:
- Compliance with employee health programs and required screenings.
- Maintenance of current licensures, certifications, and/or registrations.
- Completion of job-specific competency testing.
- Adherence to Corporate Compliance, Environment of Care, and HIPAA Compliance Plans.
Physical and Behavioral Requirements:
- Frequent physical activities include stooping, walking, kneeling, constant standing, grasping, repetitive motion, and reaching.
- Medium physical force is required.
- Visual acuity is necessary.
- Ability to speak and hear is required for effective communication.
- Successful completion of pre-employment demands test.
