About the role
Full time CMA position. Practice specialty: Infectious Disease. Office hours of operation: Monday- Friday 8 am- 5 pm, closed for lunch 12- 1:30 pm.

A medical assistant is responsible for
performing a wide range of administrative and medical tasks including:
assisting in direct patient medical care, coordinating referrals, maintaining
patient files, recording vital signs, administering medications under direction
of supervising physicians, and educating patients on medicine administration in
a high quality matter for busy infectious disease medical office.
We are looking for structured, detail-oriented, resourceful, flexible, multi-tasking,
and ability to work with other team members and patients alike.

Physician Assistant School.

Responsibilities:
●Transcribe accurate medical documentation to a set standard and quality
.●Assist provider and patient to ensure smooth workflow
●Take vitals and assist provider during history taking
●Navigate an EMR to document patient encounters in a HIPAA compliant way
●Assist provider ensuring patient understanding of treatment, teaching proper
medication dosing
●Contact insurance for durable medical devices, pharmacological, and procedural
prior authorizations
●Assist provider in improving patient care quality- to help schedule follow up
appointments or other outpatient care.
●Help review, organize, and manage medical records
●Assist in other workflow deficiencies to improve work speed and quality"
Requirements
Covid vaccine and booster are required. CCMA certification required.
●A high school diploma or GED certificate
●Accurate typing and data entry skills
●Some Proficiency in Medical terminology
●Superb customer service and verbal/communication skills
●Read and write English
●Willingness to cross train in other roles Preferred qualifications
●At least 1 year of experience in medical office or similar setting
●Knowledge of HIPAA requirements regarding patient confidentiality
