About the team

TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the core TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Product Infrastructure, Social, Creation, Photo-Text and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas.



Responsibilities

- Design for Effect House: Lead the design of a powerful and intuitive AR creation tool that empowers designers to build, publish, and share high-quality augmented reality effects on TikTok.

- Framework & Interaction Design: Apply strong systems thinking and logical reasoning to define the interaction frameworks and design guidelines that reduce complexity for creators and support scalable product growth.

- End-to-End Execution: Drive high-impact projects independently from concept to launch delivering polished, visually compelling UI and maintaining high design standards throughout the process.

- Innovation & Emerging Tech: Stay ahead of industry trends in 3D design, AR, AI, and creative tools. Use this passion to explore forward-thinking solutions that enhance both the designer experience and product impact.

- User-Centric Approach: Immerse yourself in the product and community to deeply understand user needs. Leverage user research and data insights to identify pain points, propose actionable design solutions, and ensure their successful implementation.
