Our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) is seeking a self-motivated Manager, Contracts who excels in a fast-paced environment and can serve as the primary customer interface on contractual matters. This individual will oversee termination contracts, negotiate contract settlements, manage ongoing classified contracts and support multiple programs and pursuit opportunities, focusing on U.S. Government contracts, within the Strike Initiatives sub-strategic business unit (SSBU Defensive Systems Portfolio. As a trusted advisor, this role involves guiding business teams, mitigating contractual risks, and driving issues to closure. The successful candidate will collaborate with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives while driving continuous improvement in contract management processes.
This position is well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills.

What You Will Do
Review customer requests for quotes, identify proposal requirements, and assist in proposal development
Analyze and redline contractual terms and conditions for acceptability, assessing risk and providing mitigation strategies
Monitor contract compliance and oversee the execution of contract deliverables
Ensure timely communication of contract information and resolution of issues with internal and external stakeholders
Lead negotiations, structure agreements, and administer contractual documents to ensure alignment with company policies and government regulations.
Support customer meetings and negotiations, which may require occasional travel
Recognize and address risk elements in business transactions and contracts, offering mitigation alternatives.
Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and other applicable government regulations and/or internal policies and/or internal policies
Drive continuous improvement in contract management practices, tools, and processes
Collaborate with finance, pricing, and legal teams to achieve business and financial objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start date and have the ability to obtain Top Secret U.S. Government clearance after start date if needed
Experience with U.S. Government contracts
