Head of Business Analytics

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring a Division Director, Head of Business Analytics to work with our Practice and Functional Support Leadership.  The Division Director, Head of Business Analytics will engage with business leaders and enable translation of business goals and priorities to analytics based and data driven use cases. Reporting directly to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer, this role will drive the data analytics strategy and roadmap across the functions and practices.

This position can be based remotely, but will require regular, on-going travel.  Estimated travel requirement is 25-30%.  The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
• Four (4) year college degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. (Master’s or PhD preferred.)
• Ten (10) + years’ managerial experience.
• Prior experience in healthcare.
• Experience leading the team’s performance, large scale initiatives, and projects.
• Experience supervising employees at various levels.
• Ability to work independently, motivate and be self-motivated, flexible, versatile, and creative.
• Possess problem solving ability, leadership skills and be able to foster interpersonal relationships.
• Proven ability to lead and manage analytics initiatives through change.
• Proven ability to translate business goals to analytics solutions.
• Understanding of algorithm design, development, optimization, scaling, and application.
• Experience working with Healthcare Data is a plus.
• Experience in BI and reporting capabilities.
• Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills.
• Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Engage with business leaders and develop a data driven and advanced analytics-based strategy to deliver business goals.
  • Advise executive leadership on opportunities to leverage data for competitive advantage.
  • Value articulation, Return on Investment (ROI) calculation, and prioritization of projects based on business impact.
  • Create, implement, and manage the yearly budgeting.
  • Ensure alignment of analytics solutions to business expectations and establish value.
• Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
  • Develop career paths, set performance expectations, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Lead data analytics vendor engagements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of several employees with the responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Identify business hindrances relative to data analytics functions and processes and propose solution requirements for collaboration and resolution with appropriate business partners.
  • Demonstrate business value through solutions that help meet strategic, operational, and tactical objectives.
  • Make executive presentations. Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Pilots and create an approach to scaling the pilots / POCs to a long-term transformative program and deliver continuous business value to support current and future organizational business goals and data needs.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand key business questions, challenges, and information needs and help develop an analytics roadmap that identifies and prioritizes key analytics use cases for execution.
  • Keep abreast of latest trends and technologies in data science, advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with a diverse set of users and partners to translate unstructured, complex business problems into appropriate data, modeling, and analytical plans.
