Internship Overview

Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.

This role will report to the Vice President of Brand Creation & Licensing at Wasserman. This department is responsible for ideating, developing, and commercializing consumer facing brands on behalf of Wasserman’s clients, from licensing to ground – up brand builds and beyond.

Day-to-day Duties Include:

  • Support the Vice President of Brand Creation & Licensing with Various tasks
  • Create excel spreadsheets and powerpoint pitch decks to organize and conduct marketing outreach initiatives
  • Assist with reporting, analytics, and metrics
  • Conduct cold calls as needed
  • Conduct market research, audits, and trend analysis of both the sports and music industry
  • Research potential licensing and merchandising opportunities
  • Administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in a sports – related, or marketing/ branding field
  • Preference for applicants with previous brand licensing, merchandising, or product development experience/ education
  • Preference for applicants who can come into our New York office.
  • Applicants must be organized, self-motivated, passionate and enthusiastic
  • Applicants must posses a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills
  • Must display an indication of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients
  • Must be able to commit 30 - 40 hours per week
  • Preference for applicants that can come into our New York (Brooklyn) based office, otherwise preference for EST based applicants
