BASF/Chemetall, is the Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF’s Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, and a leading supplier of applied surface treatments worldwide. At BASF/Chemetall, we develop and manufacture tailor-made technology and system solutions for applied surface technology. Our products protect metals from corrosion, facilitate forming and treatment, prepare parts optimally for the painting process and ensure excellent coating adhesion. Our technologies and products are used in a variety of industries and end markets such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing and metal forming.
The chemical treatment of metal surfaces is BASF/Chemetall core competence. The focus of our worldwide activities is on the development and implementation of customized technology and system solutions for surface treatment.
We are looking for a Regional Commercial Excellence Specialist to join our team in New Providence, NJ.
This individual will further develop market intelligence to support regional commercial business decisions and will report to the VP, Regional Business Management N.A.
As a Regional Commercial Excellence Specialist (ECT-Chemetall), you create chemistry by...
- Analyze data from Salesforce and different dashboards to support the commercial team in decision making.
- Promoting platforms for sharing best practices within the region.
- Development and communication of pricing guidelines in collaboration with Product Management.
- Following up on business initiatives, price recovery, AR, consignment, and rapid cash release.
- Collaborate with peers in other regions on global projects.
- Work closely with the sales leadership to develop business presentations.
- Develop presentations for leadership and business meetings.
- Organize Leadership Team meetings which includes: scheduling meetings, taking minutes, following up on actions, etc.
- Assist the business in all necessary aspect to promote business excellence.
If you have...
- Bachelors degree is required.
- Prior professional experience in marketing, consulting, controlling, or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience with developing market intelligence.
- Support Leadership, coordinating and scheduling monthly meetings, creating presentations, taking notes, and follow up on actions as needed.
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to transfer and translate data reports.
- Ability to manage projects and resolve conflicts as they may arise.
- Ability to work independently and in a structured working environment.
- Technical Software: advanced experience with SAP, Salesforce, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Language: fluent in English, ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
- Travel: ability to travel 5-10% as needed.
