Pay Range

$22.50 - $33.75

How You'll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Aids the pharmacist and fellow technicians in the preparation and processing of medication orders and prescriptions.

  • Delivers pharmacy services within patient care areas.

  • Engages in a team-based approach to enhance quality improvement, aligning with the Pharmacy Department's dedication to the philosophy and principles of Total Quality.

  • Keeps knowledge and skills current and actively contributes to educating others.

  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues and directs daily operations to optimize productivity.

  • Assumes the role of a mentor for newly appointed technicians.

  • Shares responsibility with pharmacists and managers for supervising activities within their respective areas.

  • Takes on the responsibility of inventory management to ensure the availability of high-quality, in-date drug products and supplies as needed.

  • Administers age/developmentally appropriate care following Age Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.

  • Participates in the planning process by establishing personal objectives to support quality improvement endeavors and contribute to departmental objectives.

  • Adheres to the hospital's general standards to foster a collaborative work environment through effective communication, building interpersonal relationships, and promoting teamwork.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Associate degree in pharmacy technology required.

  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.

  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.

  • Must meet and maintain all TCT validation requirements as outlined by NCBOP and Wake Forest Baptist Health.

Nice To Have (Not Required):

  • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
