- The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 USD Annual. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
Role Summary
The Clinical Product Sourcing Analyst supports strategic sourcing initiatives across clinical product categories, including but not limited to medical–surgical supplies, physician preference items (PPIs), implants, pharmacy-related products, and clinical equipment.
This role is responsible for executing sourcing analytics, supporting competitive sourcing events, evaluating supplier proposals, and assisting contract and savings documentation for hospital and health system customers. The analyst partners closely with Category Managers and Directors to ensure sourcing decisions are data‑driven, compliant, and aligned with clinical, financial, and operational objectives.
The Clinical Product Sourcing Analyst III operates with moderate autonomy, applying healthcare supply chain expertise and structured sourcing methodologies to support cost reduction, supplier optimization, and supply continuity initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Sourcing Analytics & Opportunity Support
- Perform clinical spend analysis to identify sourcing, standardization, and cost reduction opportunities across assigned product categories.
- Prepare pricing comparisons, utilization analyses, supplier benchmarking, and market basket analyses to support category strategies and identify savings opportunities.
- Support baseline development and savings calculations, including tracking actual vs. expected savings in accordance with value capture standards.
- Analyze distributor, manufacturer, GPO, PO, and AP data to identify pricing variability, cost above average, inflation impacts, SKU proliferation, and contract compliance gaps.
- Conduct opportunity analysis at the contract and category level, including identification of savings opportunities from sourcing events and RFP responses.
