Position Overview
The Senior Paralegal performs a variety of legal support duties relating to the company’s litigation, legal operations and risk management efforts. This position regularly interfaces with leadership team members, other employees and third parties with whom the company interacts to gather and exchange information.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as a primary internal point of contact for litigation matters for legal holds, discovery, and factual information supporting litigation efforts and strategy.
- Work with litigation counsel to develop and revise legal strategy as to pending litigation and other disputes.
- Review and direct incoming subpoenas to the appropriate legal or business contacts for response.
- Maintain clear and complete records related to pending litigation activity, including ongoing litigation matters, subpoenas and other litigation-related matters.
- Research laws and regulations related to relevant legal issues, including laws and regulations governing medical device and clinical laboratories.
- Prepare and monitor reports to management of pending litigation activity.
- Prepare and review external communications related to pending legal issues.
- Partner with the legal operations team to advance the operational processes for litigation matters and collaborate on process improvements for the legal team’s e-billing platform, outside counsel spend management, and vendor onboarding and payment workflows.
- Proactive; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

- Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with employees, customers, etc. face-to-face, via the telephone or by email.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
- Use of computer, and or telephone for long periods of time may be necessary.
- Considerable periods of time may be spent concentrating and or analyzing data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program; or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related paralegal experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program.
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal’s Certificate from ABA approved program.
- Previous paralegal experience in litigation.
- Experience working in or with the life sciences industry.
Salary Range:
$93,000.00 - $149,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - MA - Cambridge on a full-time ba
