About the role
Information and Infrastructure Technologies, Inc. (IIT)/ROGERCO, Inc. (roger) is looking for a skilled Social Media Specialist to join our team supporting the Army Futures Command (AFC). This role will oversee the creation and implementation of creative digital media strategies focusing on brand visibility, engaging target audiences, and driving measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Write content for social media in accordance with AFC messaging and style guides.
- Assist in managing the organization's content calendar for all digital and social platforms.
- Serve as the social media storyteller, with an understanding of content creation for owned and operated platforms.
- Build and implement digital media strategies with measurable goals that can accurately share AFC values and messaging
- Oversee creation of engaging and informative content for a range of platforms, such as social media, blogs, and websites
- Ensure content, and strategy, adheres to AFC’s brand guidelines and communication policies Implement social listening policies with focus on customer service
- Use data and analytics such as Google and other analytic programs to adjust content plan to optimize for assigned KPIs. Monitor and track consumption trends on the AFC Digital Media channels and adjust content strategy as needed. Analyze key digital media metrics and create regular reports for digital media team and rest of organization
- Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of digital media campaigns
- Prepare regular reports and insights, providing recommendations for improvements and optimizations
- Analyze customer requirements, develop messaging architecture and competitive positioning, specify vehicles/projects, communicate project development, and drive creative development processes.
- Attend planning meetings where Communication Directorate support needs to be assessed or applied, as required.
- Brief and coordinate planning activities internally and externally to the Communication Directorate.
- Work with outside vendors/agencies for design and execution of trade show exhibitions and seminars.
- This position may require the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station
Qualifications:
- Location: Austin, TX (This is an in-person position)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years direct, relevant experience in social media with experience and knowledge of current social media platforms and current experience using Social Media monitoring tools
- Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media Analytic Platforms
- Must possess sufficient knowledge of current social media platforms to meet performance standards and objectives.
- Must have sufficient experience with taking photos with a Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras and being able to tell a story with the photos. Be able to edit photos and caption photos and knowledge of DOD Public Affairs and AP style regulations and procedures.
- Must have sufficient experience using Social Media monitoring tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Angora to meet performance standards and objectives.

- Must be a US Citizen
- Active DoD Clearance required
