Founded in 2000, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy students represent the neighborhood of MacArthur Park west of downtown Los Angeles, a community that is one of the most under-resourced and densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Currently, CNCA has six campuses that serve approximately 3,500 students from TK through 12th grade.

The Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Principal, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) must evaluate the physical conditions of students and refer students to the appropriate resources as needed. Decisions made by the LVN require discretionary judgment and analysis.
Essential Functions
STUDENT HEALTH
- Deliver specialized health care services to students as directed by a physician’s order and under the direction of a credentialed school nurse, and as indicated by the Individualized Health Care Plan and according to standardized procedural guidelines
- Assess special education students requiring the direct services of a nurse; prepare health care plans for involved students; perform or supervise the implementation of require specialized health care procedures at school or while students are being transported.
